LOUIS VUITTON OBJETS NOMADES

Louis Vuitton has been synonymous with the Art of Travel since it was founded
in 1854. It is a longstanding spirit of sophistication and unlimited possibilities
that is now to be found at the heart of the Objets Nomades. Stepping outside
the rhythm of seasons, the collection has been growing – and will continue
to grow – organically, mirroring the House’s journey and the new or established
designers it meets along the way. The Objets Nomades are about turning chance
encounters and moments of serendipity into pieces of original design.
The line currently counts 16 travel-inspired objects, a mixture of foldable furniture
and travel accessories, all in noble materials and made as unique pieces,
limited editions or experimental prototypes. From a hammock to a foldable stool
in precious “Nomade” leather, a travel desk to a Maracatu, Objets Nomades
pay homage to the House’s special orders of the past – such as the iconic
Bed-Trunk or Stokowski Trunk – and add a defiantly contemporary spirit. Sharing
a sense of instinctiveness, desire and pleasure the Objets Nomades continue
Louis Vuitton’s tradition of offering its customers new visions of how to travel.
The entire collection will receive its world premiere at the Louis Vuitton Miami
Design District temporary store on December 4, 2012, and be on show during
the duration of Design Miami/ from December 5-9.

Maracatu by Fernando and Humberto Campana
A remarkable travel cabinet made of leather off cuts from Louis Vuitton’s Haute
Maroquinerie workshops. Only twelve examples of Fernando and Humberto

functionality and innovation.

uses traditional trunkmaker techniques in innovative, intelligent and colourful ways.

Fashion S.O.S

During the men fashion week in Milan, last June, i saw a lot of men in their suit and clothes. What they wore are totally amazing. They have it all. Personal style and the trend. They look today. And they are straight, well at least they look straight ( i have my strong radar here ). Why oh why straight men in Indonesia , specially in Jakarta can't have the sense of style like that. Every country has an identity of style. Japanese, American, Italian, English, they have the identiti of style, and the world knows that! Where are Indonesian men? This is a fashion S.O.S for Indonesian Men. :p

Mad about Mad Men

I am so crazy about this series lately. The advertising people in Manhattan with their style and attitude. I love the clothes. I love Don Draper, Pete Campbell, the always three pieces suites Mr. Sterling and Bertram Cooper of course with his delight color and shocking pattern. Every episode is a waiting for what they wear and what will happen, the venue, the vintage car, the ladies. I love January Jones as Betty Francis and Christina Hendricks as Joan Harris. Betty was so elegantly feminine but strong and Joan is an intimidated woman with her body language. Love love love this drama series. ( my godness i love drama )
